Current Account

Are basic means for carrying out various payment operations. The current accounts opened with the bank will provide quick domestic and international payment operations and bring our further advantageous services to your attention.
How to open a current account

Current accounts can be opened for local and foreign customers, private companies and general public in compliance with the valid legal norms of the Slovak Republic. The account can be opened on the basis of the Current Account Contract. The customer can have more than one current account. The accounts can be opened in EUR or in the following foreign currencies: USD, CZK, GBP. The minimum deposit on the current account in domestic currency is EUR 30. The minimum deposit in the foreign exchange current account is stated according to the appropriate currency.

If you want to open an account, you need to have the following documents:
- physical entity – entrepreneur – local:
an identification card of the authorised person, a trade licence or other licence which authorises the customer to open the account for entrepreneurial purposes
- physical entity – entrepreneur – foreigner:
an identification card of the authorised person, the extract from the Commercial register of the Slovak Republic
- legal entity – local:
a) commercial corporations and co-operatives – the extract from the Commercial register, an identification card of the authorised person,
b) others – a certificate of registration at the appropriate organ of the state administration, the incorporation number certificate, a document stating the names of the executive representatives, an identification card of the authorised person
- legal entity – foreigner (not engaged in business in the Slovak Republic):
the extract from the Commercial register of the country where the legal entity is registered in, an identification card of the authorised person

Anonymous current accounts cannot be opened. The account number of the legal entity must be identical with its trade name incorporated in the Commercial register (or in any other certificate of the legal status of the firm); with physical entities – entrepreneurs – the account name must be identical with the name in the trade licence or in other document that entitles the physical entity to carry out business activities. The account can be opened while you wait and you can start using it immediately.
How to dispose of the account

The account can be disposed of exclusively by the persons signed on the specimen signature and by virtue of the defined manner of using (individual disposal rights, joint disposal rights, and limits). The account may be disposed of only in accordance with the valid legal norms and the Current account contract.
About depositing
- in cash and in any the bank branch or any other financial institution
- by transfer from an account placed with any financial institution
- deposit to the night depository
About withdrawals
- with a payment card at ATMs and at all points of sale with POS terminals or imprinters (only embossed cards)
- by means of payment orders (one-off or standing orders)
- on the basis of the collection approved by the customer
- via electronic banking
How to carry out non-cash operations

You can carry out domestic and international payments by means of your current account placed with the bank. We can provide for the domestic payment within the framework of our branches immediately, within the network of the Slovak banks from 24 to 48 hours, and within the framework of international banks via SWIFT from two to five days depending on the bank and the location of the receiver.

You can make use of our electronic services such as e-Banka when performing non-cash operations. These services will make it possible for you to make and receive payments without going to the bank. You will get up-to-date information about your accounts, foreign exchange rates and other info provided by the bank 24 hours a day.
What about the interest

The earning interest is set by a fixed interest rate stated in the bank interest rates list. The interest is credited on the monthly basis. The interest can be credited to the current account or to any other account opened with the bank.
Check out the balance of your account

We can send out your account statements via postal service or you can get them directly at our branches. Moreover, you can get information about your current account balance via Internet (we will be sending out your account statements to your e-mail box on a daily basis), fax or phone.The services are secured against abuse of information.
