POS terminal communication with the bank
When making a payment by a payment card, a POS terminal is connected to the Authorisation Centre of the First Data Slovakia, s.r.o. company via the public data network (depending on the connection method). After having verified the transaction, it sends information on such authorisation (i.e. an approval or a rejection) back to the POS terminal. The whole communication is encrypted and protected against a misuse of transmitted information. An average transaction takes about 3-30 seconds according to the method of the POS terminal connection to the First Data Slovakia, s.r.o.POS terminal requirements
A payment terminal operation requires a fixed phone line or a mobile operator signal (GPRS) and a plug for 220 V. Should there be no fixed phone line available, we would like to offer you the terminal, which communicates via GPRS. A personal or current account opening with the bank and entering into the agreement on transfer of payments made with payment cards is required for the device installation and operation.
